Hello, My name is Jack Holik. I am an artist based in the North of England.

Initially my practice seems scattered, experimenting in every medium I can get my hands on. However underpinning it all, my ultimate goal is to make work that feels human amongst an ever more saturated world of artificialness.

EDUCATION:

BA ILLUSTRATION - YORK ST JOHNS UNIVERSITY 

- A combination of practical coursework and more academic art history / contemporary art theory. This is really where my work began to manifest its form becoming what it is now.

MA PUBLISHING - YORK ST JOHNS UNIVERSITY [ Current ] 

- Whilst delving further into interests from the BA, the MA is proving as a good opportunity to challenge a new area of study.

A LITTLE BIT MORE: 

​

- My favourite artist is Hirohiko Araki, his work on JOJO's is like a black sheep amongst Japanese manga in the best way possible. It was a huge influence on me back in college, it was what inspired me to follow this path I am now on. 

​

- My dream job is a Film Director or Batman ... whichever comes first. 

​

- My favourite films are: The Lighthouse [2019]. Punch Drunk Love [2002] and Demolition [2015]
